Our vision is to revitalise the area surrounding the Princes Quay Shopping Centre through a mixed-use scheme comprising retail, leisure, hotels and civic spaces to reinforce city life in Hull.

Historically this area was a fully operational dock with supporting industry, but as the decline in shipping trade and local industry took hold, the area fell into decline and over time became isolated from the city centre.

The site is currently characterised by under investment, decay and open, under utilised, brown field land. The area provides a major opportunity for new development. Not only will this bring economic growth it will also improve the urban design of the city and create the chance to make a progressive statement about Hull both architecturally and environmentally.

Quay West will complement other retailers already present in the city and together will bring about a step change within Hull, improving its retail offer and promoting the city as the leading shopping destination across Yorkshire and Humberside. The existing Princes Quay Shopping Centre will be retained and links to Quay West provided. Princes Quay will be improved with new shops, cafes and restaurants, and a major enhancement of the dockside area.
